Mrs. Whitecotton received her M.P.A. from the University of Oklahoma (1984) and her B.S. Ed. from Louisiana College (1979), and her Virtual College Teaching certification from Texas and the University of Maryland (1999); she has taught 7 years in secondary education and 20 years in higher education. Mrs. Whitecotton was a founder of the Eastern New Mexico University two-year college program in Ruidoso, New Mexico, and has developed programs and classes in distance learning for the Mescalero School District and the Ruidoso School District in New Mexico; for the University of Maryland, Asia Division; and for the North Harris Community College District in Texas. Mrs. Whitecotton is currently teaching classes in CS 133 and CS 138 at Sam Houston State University; and has written a book on using application software (third editon); and is a co-author of another book on application software.
