What is the application/interview process?
- Phase I application is very simple, name, email address, phone number and a few questions.
- Phase II application is more in-depth, with statement of interest being provided, references and a resume.
- Interviews are scheduled for the top 10 to 15 students.

When is the application due?
Phase I Application is due on March 1.

Notification of acceptance?
Notification should be made by April 15.

Will the program award a PhD or master’s student?
Yes, the program will accept undergraduate, master’s and PhD students.

When does the scholarship take place?
The scholarship will begin in the Fall semester. No summer semesters will be covered.

Are the summer internships and/or full-time jobs handed to you, or do you have to search for one?
The student is required to apply for any employment with the federal agencies, information on jobs is shared but it is the responsibility of the student to apply.

The MS program is online, do I have to live in the community to receive the scholarship?
Yes, you must live in the community as you are required to be at all meetings and need to be able to attend.

Does it only cover tuition?
No, tuition and fees are covered along with a PD fund that can be used for approved travel, conferences, research materials, supplies, a laptop, books, professional training, and certifications. You receive a nine 9-monthly stipend for every academic year that can be used for anything.

Is there a GPA requirement?
Yes, it must be 3.5 or higher.
